A parachromis multifaciatus male OR female can be housed in a 4ft tank. A female parachromis mota female could be housed in a 4ft also.
But these recommendations are to be noted as a solo only. No other tank mates, not even a breeding pair.
I too have a pH of 7.2 with TDS of 65ppm, which is soft. So I use crushed coral in mesh bags in my filters and some of my tanks have a mix of Aragonite and PFS. Both methods raise my ph to 7.8 with a TDS of 110ppm.
