Hello all,

I recently purchased and converted 100G tank to entertainment center in our living room. It was a LCD sitting on the entertainment table, but my wife and I fell in love with Discus and decided to hang the LCD on the wall and replace it with 100G Discus tank. At first, I did not know where to put the entertainment system, so I came up split the fish tank stand into 1 for entertainment system and other for fish tank ultilities. But I need some ideas how to decorate the doors, also the door on entertainment system needs clear area for remote control. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

PS: the door made of wood frame and acrylic with white cardboard slide in and out (see pic #6) that where i want to create something there on white cardboard. I already thought about paint it black and have some picture in white. what do you think?

PPS: i 'm also having problem with cycle need help too :)

be careful of the humidity with that tv hanging over it like that.

im not sure i would trust having expensive electronics sitting under the aquarium and the tv could be damaged by humidity. just a few things to think about.

Very cool, do you turn the tank light off when your watching a movie?
i have not watched movie for long time. I hardly turn that tv on and usually I leave the living room light on. I try not to watch tv in the dark no good for eyes specially I have 2 little ones. Believe it or not, I never have direct tv or cable for almost 20 yrs.

I thought about that, but could not find any other spot. The main thing is both of us agree on having Discus and place that tank there :)

I was thinking the same thing. That TV is not long for this world.
That is so true. It 's used to be thousand and now hundreds.

I don't know much about humidity. The tank has 2 pieces acrylic cover both opennings and canopy. Also the TV I swing it toward away from wall, so it 's above right middle. Hopefully it's last more than 5yrs.

Covering the bottom air openings in the TV would be a good preventative measure...

Placing some plastic water barrier over the top of the A/V components would be a smart move too, as long as you don't blast music, as heat might be an issue.

I like the fish!

BTW goo luck on anytihng new lasting over the warranty period, especially if you use it! lol

looks pretty good man! Like everyone else I first thought "oh no not electronics under and over the tank". Lots of moisture leaving that tank, hope everything works out for you. Nice fish though:)
