100 Gallon Entertainment Center

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It looks nice, but I'd be scared to have that much electronics right under a tank.........Oh yeah, and I'm loving the discus!

I know, but thought just 3 more devices 'cause usually there are heater (maybe 2), filter (maybe 2), lights, bubbles, ....etc. hopeful it's fine.

Risky Business.
TV directly over tank, electronic devices directly below tank, and (I assume) a stand that was made as an entertainment unit, not for holding a large fish tank... how is it made? what material? Did you reinforce it? ...If you did, I'd feel much better about it.

I hope you don't have any disasters, but I'd be worried.

it was a 100g fish tank stand with solid wood. usually, there is devider inside. So i added a divider separate it into 2. I think it support even better, bc normal stand is empty. About the TV and other electric stuffs, i agree with everyone, that's why i have 2 surge protectos and even my wall outlet has it too. I have nowhere else to put them, i am sure you all hear "Love is blind" :) .

This could be a win win or a total fail ( tv fallin in to fish tank and breaking it casueing all the water and fish to spill on to you hardwood floors) But i would not spen to much time thinking about that :)

The electronics under the tank are a risk. the TV above the tank shouldn't be a problem as long as it is mounted securely. If you are concerned about humidity, install PC cooling fans (one pushing, one pulling) in both rear corners of your top wired to come on with the lights. You definitely should not block off any openings in the TV cabinet as they are there to cool off the inside equipment.
