They mostly feed along the bottom on snails, worms, insects, fw shrimp and plants in the wild. I feed mine thawed shrimp, Massivore, Reptomin, crickets and water plants. Some might try to catch and kill fish but mine doesn't. Every turtle is different. I wouldn't recommend keeping fish and turtles together unless you have a large setup with well fed turtles.

I've basically always had fish living with these turtles. I do two 30-40% water changes a week. I'm planning on buying a larger canister filter soon to help cut down on this.
