I only keep cichlids and you can put other cichlids in with that jag, I would go with midas, large synspilum, Cuban cichlid, large convict, large firemouth, large parrot cichlid, Jack dempsey etc. Try about 4 of these option with your jag and you will be fine.

If it is going to be your only tank do something that will be really entertaining. Maybe go for a male green terror, a pair of salvini, a couple convicts, some silver dollars and some tiger barbs. Oscars are also usually pretty good as far as not being hyper aggressive. They will outgrow most of their tank mates and can act as peace keepers. Goodluck!

My 75 has a lone red devil in it and it's very entertaining. When I had my community tank I was more stressed out than anything else.... Everyone hated each other, there was a lot of territory fights. I prefer a wet pet over a community tank any day. Just saying.

I agree with the jag being in the 125 alone.
