You should be able to buy replacement plastic trim for the tank. They have them on-line or sometimes you LFS will be able to order then for you.

they only started using the plastic bracing in the late 90's.
Until recently I had 90 and 65s that were purchased new in 1993 with no braces.
the 90 was made with 1/2" and the 65 was 3/8th inch. they lasted almost 20 years before I sold them.
its just an older tank that you have. .

Your tank has the same basic footprint as a common/standard 125 gal tank...
BUT... be sure to get the exact measurements... as many different manufacturers have slightly different measurements. They do this so you cannot interchange tops, stands, etc hoping force you to stick with their brand...

So basicly i just have to get the extact measurements and find out whos brand it is then just contact them to see if they have the trim for it? Don't seem that hard hopefully lol
problem is, its been awhile since one of the main manufacturer's made a 72x18x18" 100g long.
Allglass (now known as Aqueon) used to, since it is still printed on the packaging for their 72x18" glass tops.
a local manufacturer here in toronto still makes one.
