100 Gallon Tankmates

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You're down to the cat, firemouth, nicaraguense, JD and hybrid? And 6 salvinis? Do you have any pictures of the hybrid?

The salvinis are in a separate tank growing out but i plan on adding one, hopefully a female once it it ready. Everything else is correct. The hybrid, nic, JD, Firemouth and the cat. I will try to get a picture of the hybrid once i get home.

Personally I think you're very close to being overstocked unless you're planning on upgrading. I feel like Firemouths really should be kept in groups of six as well.

That's STILL alotta fish in a 100 gallon tank. I've never had a 100 gallon, but I'm picturing all that in a 75....no way.

Get a bigger tank--serious.

Looks like this has already been settled, but I agree that it's to much for a 100. I have a 5 foot 100g as well, and once ca/sa cichids start getting in the 4-5"+ range and start taking dominace, it's very easy for them to claim a 5 foot tank and make it a living hell for the lessor dominant fish. At mature size I've only kept a single ca/sa or pair in my 100g with no other cichlids.
