100 gallon tanks cloudiness

how did you clean your filter? If you have chlorine (or chloramine) in your tap water, only use waste water from the aquarium to clean the filter elements, so that the bacteria colony stays alive.
 
I hate to pile on but...
It does sound like new tank syndrome of not having the beneficial bacteria established and all those beginning spikes working them selves out.
I have heard arguments that over frequent water changes in the new tank does not allow enough of the players in the cycle to build up to then allow the end of the cycle (the beneficial bacteria) to quickly establish. However, I am one to be guilty of heavy water changes.
Good idea to take a look at your filter cleaning practices too. The chlorine in tap water can be overlooked as a BB killer. (thanks #17fan)
