i was wonder can up stair of a two story household hold a 100 gallon fish tank or would the floor break??? need help please!!

Difference... Water bed is 4ft by 8ft , 100g is 6ft by 2ft. I would get a contractor and see if you need to brace the floor up. Better safe and spend 200 now instead of having the tank end up on the first floor.

I bet it could....but my house it 12" concrete slabs and walls lol

HELL!!!! yes!! my house is 40 years old and i have a 120 gallon on the second floor.

you should put the tank against a load bearing wall though. to keep it simple put the tank on a wall that has the opposite face on the outside of the house.
or u can look at ur roof in ur attic and see which ways the joists and beams are running.

the tank is over my three car garage.the beam underneath is a foot away where i have the tank at.does it make any diffrents or does it help support the tank more??

You should be fine if the house is not from the dark ages. There is another thread somewhere with someone wanting to use a 180gal and an expert went into great depth about it all. There was a lot of things that make a difference but as it is near the beam it makes it a good spot.

Seek out Proffessional help...
DO NOT listen to people say yes yes yes my tank hasnt fell through in my house,
lol,
Every house is different,
Tell me,,, What will these people say if your tank does fall through and ur left with damages and expenses??
They be like sh*t happens my tank is fine..
Im just wanting the best result here.
I would play things say not jump straight into it.
Goodluck mate :)

Also tell me this,,
say if it is a timber floor, wat happens after time if your tank occasionally spills a little water here there,

timber+water=rotting floor=VERY WEAK!

Please just dun think it might be safe,
You might kill someone in the process lol
