Ok so I am wondering if an emperor 400 and an aquaclear110 would be enough filtration for this tank. The emperor has a 400 gph rating and the 110 has a 300gph rating, so that's 7x turn over. Will that suffice?

If i were you I'd just leave the AC running and swap that emperor for a good canister filter, maybe a Fluvial 406 or something more powerful such as this marineland filter.

Aquaclear are outstanding filters highly reliable and they are quite easy to customize talking about media, you dont need to keep buying over and over cartridges such as emperor's.

What type of fish you gonna have?In my 95 I have an oscar and a featherfin syno they are very messy fish. For fitration I am using marineland c-530 and an aquaclear 110.

Well the tank is coming with an emperor 400. And because I'm on a tight budget i was thinking about getting an aquaclear 110, but I think I will go with the 400 and a canister

It is enouf but if you can it would be nice to swap a hob out for a canister... I love empoers and mine works great so swapp the ac for a canister filter... Sun suns have good reviews and are cheap on ebay... 50$ for a 75 gallon canister and I have seen some on youtube and they look pretty big... rena and or api filterstar canister xps are also good... 2 big hobs would work great, just some ideas to make it ever better...:)

If you are set on hobs and can't do canisters i would get 2 penguin biowheel 350s instead of an ac 110... 2 penguin 350 marinelands are about the same price as 1, ac 110 and 2 350s is 700 gph and more media space than 1 ac(both combined is probibly more media space)... I have a few penguins and they work great...
