Oscar, fh, red devil, brp and most puffers will work in that tank for a wet pet.

Personally I'd do a planted tank with upper jaw polys, ctenos, and whatever else.

Bichir's getting their fair share at feeding time can be problematic when having cichlid tank mates. It's fine if the Bichir's are voracious eaters but if they aren't it can be difficult.

A red devil on its own in a tank that size adding anything other than a pleco will equal dead fish red devil's have the name for a reason lol

With those two cichlids, it'll be hit or miss. If I were you, I'd do a CB lower jaw poly, they'll get more size on them and they'll have a bit more gusto at feeding time (more than most WC at least).

I cam certainly not the best person to help you with African cichlids, I have never been into them much.

I would do a Blue Acara biotope. Probley get away with a nice size colony in a tank that size.

Either that or a big happy single Oscar or single female Festae Red Terror.
