Looking good T1-make sure you get pics of the inside being done. I'm interested to see how you'll insulate it in particular

insulation and most of the electrics are in but I'm having problems making the base without it clashing with the weirs and still leaving plenty of support

hi ive been watching this build as i am gonna be building a pond this summer, i was just wondering how you were going to suport the walls? are you putting a double block wall with concrete between?
and how are you waterproofing it are you going with pond liner or some other option?

To spread your footprint weight out a bit would they not be better laid flat and stacked up to your required height? or is the plan to run 2 walls and then fill the space in between concrete to help spread it?

the problem is leaving plenty of space under the base for a 6x2x2 sump and 2 x 12x6inch weirs with 2 x 40mm holes and returns in each and still having plenty of support

I'm going to run 4 x mini RSJs (unistut) over the top of the sump then tooth the walls and concrete them in I'm probably doing over the top but its best to be safe than sorry

You can never go over the top when it comes to this! RSJs sound a good idea for spanning the 6x2x2, just check the load rating on them is enough (i'm guessing you have already.)

Confused on the weirs though:confused: you made need to describe what that's all about for me.
