btw i found a flaw in your test.im assuming you removed it byt pushing on the top of the panel yeh? well thats relying on the tear strength and not the grip strength of the acrylic imo you tested it right just you didnt test the right thing
 
I finally managed to silicone the inside and outside of the window with a one inch bead. I am leaving to go on vacation in the morning. I will be back next monday, and it should be ready to fill by then. Aloha!
