I was wondering how the filter system you have is doing?

Am I right in saying that you just have the sand/bead filter running on it?

I'm going to build a 1000g myself and have been thinking of building a Kio Vortex system with 3 vortex linked together

If you're finding that just a sand/bead filter is working efficiently enough I may just do as you have done (Well it's always best to get info from those with actual experience isn't it :D )

First of all I have to say that i'm sorry for not logging on for quite a while, but I am extremely grateful for all the praise on this thread. Thank you! So far i've had more spawns than I can count. The fry dont seem to be easy to raise and I haven't been very successful raise them. The tank is doing great! I'll try and post some new pics in the next few days. I think you will be impressed with the center piece of driftwood. It's a stump 3' tall with a root system about 3' in diameter. Thanks again for the posts!
