Ok so I just bought, well stole a 1000 gallon acrylic fish tank 8' x 6' x 3' for $2000!!! lol The tank came with a 4' x 2' x 2' sump. But didnt some a pump or a heater. My question is I would like to get around a 10 x's turn around rate, so around 10,000 gph flow rare. So whats the best pump or pump to get that? Also whats my best option for a heater? I want to keep the water around 80 degrees. Ive done some research on in-line heaters because I dont think that 5 300 watt heaters or what not would be a good idea! lol But the in-line kind of seems like thats my best option with this size of tank. But at the same time they are a little pricey. So is there a better option to go for a heater?

For pump or pumps I would recommend Reeflo. They have several models to fit your needs and they get real good reviews.

in line is what id do for heat, as far as a pump... a pool pump maybe ? lol

+1 for Reeflo. I have a Hammerhead and it works great.

Not so sure on heaters. I have two 800 watt titanium heaters for my 500 gallon. Three 1000 watt titanium heaters might do the trick for you.

Ummm pics?? lol
Love the dimensions, just want to see this beast

If you don't want a bunch of heaters in your sump you will have to inline and spend 5 to 8oo bucks Possable titanium still with at least three and a digital moniter either way your gonna spend a few HUndred...As far as pumps go Alot of guys including myself like them ...But i just bought a W lim Wave pump with much more efficiantcy for circulation on my 675 gl tank plus a hammerhead they both run Baldor moters top of the line and that's what ya want ..Don't wan't to be messen with pumps all the time ..W lim has pumps that will do all the way up to 15000 gph :WHOA:One pump and all the way down to 3000 gph i recommend checking both the Reeflow products and W Lim wave pumps those are the best :D Pool pumps just use to much Juice!!!!

Ill have picture of the tank soon guys! Its been to cold here and we just got a couple inches of snow! So the tank has been sitting on the trailer so far under blankets and tarps. Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to get it off the trailer and into my basement! With the help of a saw or 2! lol Tank is 36 inches tall and my door is only 35 inches wide! Shh dont tell the land lord! lol

Pumps have been covered. If you're using a sump, just drop a pair of 1000w titanium heaters in there, and it should handle it no problem. More than 2wpg of heating capacity is generally a waste. If you still want more watts, go with 3x 800w titanium heaters.

And definitely use a temp controller.

2K watt (110V) Titanium in-line heater. 3K watt requires 220V. Made specifically for big tanks. Digitally punch in your temp and the controller does it all.
