1000 gallon tank

You are definitely going with a better option.....i dont care what anyone says..cleaning my 4 ft tall is quite the task.i have to yse a 4ft step stool everytime and still a good portion of my body is in leaning inside when i acrub algae. Ive tried many of the extendable handle type algae scrubbers and blades and the problem with them is that when its extended that long it is not that stiff...it has flex to it and you have bvb to put sone good force into it get into some spots. Also simple things like gravel vac and even netting uneaten food or fish becomes a million times harder..stick with the 10 ft tank if u have mobilty issues for sure

thanks for your help!
I'm going to build one. out to 10'x 3'x 3' with overflows boxes on corner.
I just think 4' deep is a little to much to handle. it sucks but I
have to know my limits.
ill send some picture when it gets built in a couple of months
thank. you

You have made the right choice staying away from the 4ft tall tank. I had mine cut to 42 after contemplating the 48 inches. Love the look of the height but you'll need extendable type equipment with anything 42 inches or taller. Its more time consuming but with the right tools manageable. including vacuuming the sand. But there no substitute for a nice tall front glass and substrate looks more natural. I know some like bare tanks but IMOP, its so does not look natural.
Plus a tank that big, why not do sand and go all in.

Also if it is being built why not put the overflows out side of the tank on each end? This way you utilize all of the tanks foot print. JMOP
