Most pond shapes are thinner at the bottom than at the top. Assuming that the top was 9 feet accross then it could easily be 1000 gal give or take a couple. Although this sounds a lot like an animal feeder being discussed on one of the other threads recently for a few hundred bucks. Cheap and durable, unfortunatly no viewing window.
