So on craigslist there is a 100g cubed aquarium with stand and canopy for $200... I don't know if I should buy it or not. Is this a good price? If i got it what fish would you suggest putting into it?

Do you have any pictures of it? If its in good condition, I would say go for it. I would use it for a SW reef setup.
$5 says the guy was using it for SW. Cubes make cool reef tanks.
Since it's a cube it won't have a lot of length but will have an equal amount of width, giving a decent footprint.
Do you want a couple big cichlids, smaller community, planted or not planted? Lots of options but not enough room for really big fish.

I don't want to do sw i'm pretty much a fw guy i guess. I think cichlids would be what i would go with that or discus. Im not sure if I would wanna do planted or not.
Well narrow down your "Cichlid" choices--African, CA or SA?
Some ideas:
1) African community
2) Nice sized CA Cichlid pair
3) Smaller CA Cichlid colony--firemouths or convicts?
4) Discus or angelfish (discus and angelfish are cichlids)
5) SA Cichlid community either some big severums and/or geos and/or satanoperca. Or maybe an Oscar? Crenicichla?
6) SA community with smaller cichlids. Blue acara. Keyholes. Gymnogeophagus? Dwarf crenicichla?

Either discus or the sa community i have 1 geo right now and he's beautiful, also like red severums
I'd go rotkeil if you're gonna go severums. Maybe a pair of severums and a small colony of one species of geos?
