100G set up HELP!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Would that take care of everything?

(2) AC 110's I dont think will cut it. I had 3 of em on a 125 and the tank was constantly dirty with an 18'' arrow, 8'' oscar, 8'' severum and a few juvies.

I threw a cascade 1000 cannister on there and it is amazingly crystal clear.

FX5 and an Eheim. u wont regret it.....

Both on a 125 is over kill unless you are planning to upgrade your system.
Either one would be more than sufficient. Expensive but will significantly reduce your maintenance work. As far as cost think of your time doing maintenance (unless you enjoy water changes) as work and use your hourly rate.

Hey I have 265 that will shortly be running 2 pro 3 and 2 pro II, plus 2 dual bio-wheels and a UV system, I have all the stuff just setting it up. I'm all for over kill but not when they ask for cost effective solutions.

alright good for u!!! that's the ticket!!

cost effective solution would be to save ur money until u can afford great filtration!!
like me and u!!

Either a pro 3 or and FX5 would be enough for a 100 as long as you keep it reasonably stocked and are certain you won't do sting rays. If you over filter the tank it just makes it cheaper when you upgrade. I though a 125 I got years back was huge now I look at the 265 and wonder if I should just seal and flood the basement.
