Actally the corners were easy. Used a 6 inch wide putty knife to push the cloth in the corners. If it would have been chopped mat it would have been a lot harder to get to stay in the corner joints.

it has 2 layers throughout. the cloth was 60 inches wide so it overlaped on all joints, so the bottom corners have 6 layers and side wall corners have 4 each.

Looks great, can't wait to see more updates, good choice for the stock, I think you should add a northern pike to it if you're going with natives ;)

I play a bodyman in real life so not really in the trade. Did some Corvette and big truck fiberglass repair but no expert by any means. Building the stucture was actually fun. Only off by 1/8 inch throughout.

Ordered the sweetwater so by the time its here the glass will be fully cured. Gotta order bulkheads, silicone and a pump. The rest is nickel and dime stuff.gonna go with Dow 795 so ill have to wait a while for silicone to cure.

And if you don't like this tank anymore you could always sell it to a bank so they could use it as a bulletproof barrier...

Great build but me thinks it may be a tad over built... no?

My only question is why didn't you add a center support? All the weight will only be supported on the perimeter of the tank? Any chance of sagging?

Is rather spend a little more to overbuild than spend a lot later because its underbuilt..

I'm gonna add a center row when I move it to its final resting spot. My dad talked me out of it, but decided I'm gonna add one anyway.

I'm sure the wood soaked up a lot of resin? Did you put as coat of resin down first before you started with the glass? Or did you just add that first coat of resin with the first layer of glass all at the same time?
