And yes, they do have that much spangling and will get a lot more around 5 inches.
Do you do anything different to get the red eyes??

iono how the developed red eyes. when i got em they're eyes were a brownish red but now they are RED lol i feed em FD krill every day, sometimes i think its my lighting. the bulb was bought from home depot( its an aquarium light made by philips.) its kinda an "artificial black water look" lol. every since they were in my tank there colors were much vibrant than they were at my lfs.
