Yeah my first tank, so obviously I went with the clown puke :(. I'm thinking of changing it to sand, so it looks better and the corys can sift more easily.

Just not sure what type as I don't want to mess up my filters.

Me too. I suck with a camera. Your rams are brilliant!

Also, I don't have any posts but I have 10 years experience...

I was kidding. I like clown puke. I have always had one tank with it,and always will. Right now I have it in a 30 gallon with obnoxiously colorful fake plants.

If you get sand, just keep the intakes about half way up the tank, and you shouldn't have any problems.

Again, great pics.

You can get pool filter sand at most pool retail stores for about $10 for a 50lb. bag. You can get the cheap play sand at Lowe's or HD ($4-6 for a 50lb. bag), but it usually takes more rinsing to clear up the sand. Just make sure nothing has been added to the sand that you choose that can damage your fish.

I might give that a try.

 haha post counts are important and are a good estimate to how long they've been looking through the site and gaining info. nobody posts over a 1000 posts and knows nothing. Plus, i also saw the user and instantly recognized him so yeah. :D

and, well. I know people who use the "clown puke" because they have little children and the kids prefer it to boring brown sand, but ghostshrimpman, i'd go with pool filter sand instead of playsand because IME its generally cleaner and has a more natural color, plus I've heard playsand can have harmful silica stuff or something? idk, there are plenty of threads about it.
