Hello everybody. I would like to ask some questions.
Is it possible for 18" Armatus living with 11" Goliath in +350g? I ask this because my Armatus is getting too big for his own tank (150g) so I started to think about moving him to my main tank (+350g, an outdoor made-of-concrete-with-window-tank), which contained 11" Goliath, 9" Tatauia and 15" Ornate Bichir.

The real problem is, I don't know what if I should trust my Armatus or not. My dats caused no more rooms for new tank now so adding new one is impossible. Thoughts?

either way you will end up with a dead fish, most likely be the GATF

if the armatus is solo right now... he will most likely massacre everyone once u add him. especially an atf that is smaller then him.

why not put the gatf and tat in the 150g and move the arm into the 350

You gotta put them together in order to find out. Just keep an eye on them for the first 2-3 days. It may work and it may not. I'm an optimistic guy so I would say it will work. I've put 6"-7" Dorado with 12"-13" Armatus, and they still live together. In your case, the Armatus is going to a new tank. BTW, is he eating live food at this moment?

Because the GATF darts more often than the Armatus. Putting the GATF in a smaller tank will increase the chance that it will hurt itself.

You're right jInguyen74. I couldn't move Goliath into 150g because I fear he'd kill himself. My Goliath is VERY jumpy like he's the pussiest alive.

Right now my Armatus is eating live food, +4" goldfish per two days to be exact. This really made me worry. I got him since 2" with Scomb and Tats, after he reached 10", he massacred all other so this 150g is his.

So almost everyone think the combination won't work. Hmmm... I admitted that I'm too scare to try it myself. Maybe I should see what IF he can have 10" tankmate or not. Tomorrow I'll try putting 10" shiny-white-feeder-Koi into his tank to find out.

Thank you everyone, and I'll update the situation.

If your Armatus is still eating live feeders, there is more risk :( However, you can still add him to the 350gal and watch his behavior for the first 2-3 days. It's a decent size tank with only a few fish, so I still believe that they can live together. If something happens, it would be the Tat that I'm concerned. Also, load the tank with feeders all the time, for a week or two, will help to distract the Armatus and help him to adjust with the change and learn how to live in a comm. tank
