Nice aro and all, but no thinking in the name, why would anybody name a krippled fish a king?
A nice, expensive aro, but i would rather spend my money on a normal looking red/green.

The reason these are called King arowanas is that the hump symbolises the "Kings Crown". These are also known as Fa Fu Long which means - the fat prosperous dragon.

Still waiting for a reply from Shine aquatics.

Replied!

Fa Fu = literally means "getting fat" or "getting rich"
Long = dragon

I guess I can sorta see why people like it. Not my cup of tea, but still awesome color!

In short, Fatty Dragon.

Good looking fatty red dragon.

Ya, awesome color but the body shape is ...off to me, even if it is expensive ^^

I heard a term "sumo" in thailand for these hump backs. any reason for that?
