Luv the greenbase of yur reds,... and the silver looks good! good coloration and no DE (which I find quite common for silvers)

Have been keeping them in tank which the base and side are black. Plus lights on 24/7 for them since day one.

Does keeping the lights on affect the fish growth in any ways(colour, behaviour, etc)?
& about coral chips, how to know if they are expired?

Light won't affect the growth as far as I see it. No different behaviour either. Everything normal. Just that I'm using Fl and I got shardow right at the back of the tank to provide enough shade for them to rest.

As for the coral chips, you just got to do water test to see if the ph in your tank dropping over time. But for my case, I will be changing the coral chips like every 4-5 months.
