11" Wild Caught C. moorii

Nice, the normal size on these guys is 6-8 in right? I have one, it is only 1 and a half in though.

Yes, approx. 6-9" TL, with males typically being larger than females. These 3 males are approx. 7-8", with the largest dom male being the darker one in the lower left of the photo. They still have some growing to do before they max out.

Oh wow, those are chunky looking moori, my first impression was looks like an all blue Frontosa lol I have never seen specimens that big. 5-6 inches biggest one I have seen

Love C. Moori. Also my wife’s favorite cichlid. I bred and raised this guy. He was 5yrs old & pushing 9”. He died when a circuit breaker tripped for the first time ever when I was visiting my parents in Australia last November

They always crack me up because they don’t look too bright with that silly look on their face but certainly a beautiful fish.
