Hey Everyone! Rigght now, I have this tank: http://www.seapets.co.uk/products/a...luval/fluval-roma-aquariums/all-products.html . It's 33 Gallons (125 litres) and is currently housing 3 Swordtails, 2 Dwarf Gourami, 2 Angelfish, 1 BGKF, 1 Elephant Nose, 1 Bala Shark, 4 Glass Catfish, 1 Zig Zag Eel, 1 African Butterfly Fish and 6 Rosy Tetras. In the past it has housed a Red Tailed Black Shark, a Red-Clawed Crab and another Swordtail. Anyway, I have had this tank since Christmas, and as you will know, there are far too much fish in it and therefore it is acting as an outgrow tank. In July, I plan to purchase another tank - this tank: http://www.allpondsolutions.co.uk/a...uarium-410-litres-150cm-5ft-four-colours.html - which is an 110 Gallon Aquarium (410 Litres). Once I get this tank, I plan to move the Eel, the BGKF and the Bala Shark into the new tank and leave the others in the current tank. However, once I have completed this change, there should still be quite a bit of room in the 110 Gallon Aquarium for adding extra fish - so I have found myself back to the world of stocking again, haha!

Anyway, I know I definitely want to add a Crayfish to this tank (probably a Red Marlabo Lobster [I think that's how it's spelled]). I also really wanted some sort of Stingray, but after research it seems clear that that's not going to be possible due to the size of the tanks. I also really like the look of some SA Cichlids. So, does anyone else have any suggestions of what I could put in this tank? Because if so, please share them here!

Also, I think it's be worth noting this here; I have already looked through a lot of different websites for tanks, and this is the biggest one that I have seen under £600. However, if any of you happen to see a tank which is similar pricing but is bigger than 110 Gallons (and is new), then please do let me know because space isn't an issue!

PS - the reason I am making all these plans so early is so that whenever I see the tank starting to look the slightest bit overcrowded I can just buy the new tank and start it cycling. :)

Thanks!

Is there anyone out there? Lol, just kidding - but if anyone does have an opinion on this then please do share it. :)

Thanks.

Okay, so right now this is the stocking list that I am liking the best: Oscar, Black Ghost Knife Fish, Bala Shark, Zig Zag Eel and Common Pleco. Does anyone else have any good suggestions for what else could go in there?

"Is it me or is a 59x18.8x30 bigger than 110 gallons???"

Oh goodness, you're right - it's an 144 Gallon tank then lol! Haha, there must have been a mistake on the website (although I was confused as to why some of the sums I was doing before weren't adding up properly - so I guess that explains it, LOL). Well that's a nice pleasant suprise then!

"
Blood parrots, more bala sharks, some severums are some ideas..."

Hmm, I think if I was going to get any of them it'd be more Bala Sharks so the one I have just now isn't lonely for much longer - do you think adding in a smaller one when the one already there is an adult will be okay though?

Hey Aqualoon! Thanks for the information! So, if I took out the Zig Zag Eel from that list, then in the 125 Litre there would be: 3 Swordtails, 2 Dwarf Gourami, 2 Angelfish, 1 Elephant Nose, 4 Glass Catfish, 1 Zig Zag Eel, 1 African Butterfly Fish and 6 Rosy Tetras. Will that not make the tank quite seriously overstocked?

And then that would leave the Bala Shark, the BGK, the Common(?) Pleco and the Oscar for the 144Gallon Tank (plus others). :)

Thanks again!

If you took out the oscar from the bigger tank and added other cichlids (not saying all of these, just some ideas) like Severums, Gold Saum, Nic, Texas, etc. then you could keep the zig zag in that tank.

I had a Zig Zag in a mixed CA/SA cichlid tank and he did just fine - however nothing was big/bulky enough to eat him. I'd be too cautious with an Oscar as they are known to try to fit things in their mouth that shouldn't go in.

Hmm, that could be a plan then. Also, speaking of the Zig Zag - I think it really needs to be in the big tank, because last night I went up to find 2 of the 6 Rosy Tetras gone (in the space of only a couple of hours as well!) - and it looks as if the eel had eaten them. So, while i'm here - do any of you think the eel would be able to eat them? Or would it be more likely that a different fish did?

And that's good news then! And Yeah, I see your point. Also, thanks for the link to that video - your tank looks AMAZING! :)

Hey guys, what do you think about this list:

- 1 Common Pleco
- 1 Oscar
- 1 BGKF
- 3 Bala Shark
- 1 ElephantNose Fish
- 1 Electric Blue Jack Dempsey
- 1 Banded Cichlid (Green Severum).

Or is it too much for an 144gal?
