Aww, the common pleco was one of my favourites! Is the issue with that fish that it's too big or that it would eat one of the others/get eaten?

Anyone have any comments on the above post? :)

Elephant nose and bgk won't go together. They both use electric senses to navigate, find food, and for defense and they will interfere with each other.
Also UK gallons are different then us gallons so there's why it might be some confusion.
My fish life is sparked up with Polys :)

get rid of the balas and keep the pleco... they ARE waste machines .. but if you like him ,KEEP him....just do bigger wc's

Well then I could always keep the Elephantnose in the current tank and keep it at 1 bala shark. :)

The BGK and the Elephant Nose are together just now though... I hope they will be okay together. :(

Okay, I edited the list and I also added in a few nice cichlids - I don't intend to put all of them in, but if any of you were stocking an 144 Gallon Tank and could choose from any of these fish (but you had to get the BGK and the Bala Shark), what would you choose:

- 1 Common Pleco
- 1 Oscar
- 1 BGKF
- 1 Bala Shark
- 1 Electric Blue Jack Dempsey
- 1 Banded Cichlid (Green Severum)
- 1 Firemouth Cichlid
- 1 Texas Cichlid
- 1 Black Convict Cichlid.

Thanks everyone!!!

Hi everyone, I done a little more research and came up with the following for the 144 gallon tank:

- 1 Oscar
- 1 BGKF
- 1 Bala Shark
- 2 Electric Blue Jack Dempseys
- 2 Firemouth Cichlids
- 2 Texas Cichlids

However, i'm not sure if i'd get away with putting any more fish into that list. If I were, i'd probably try and get a couple more bala sharks in there or maybe even consider clown loaches or silver dollars, but then since they both should really be in schools I would have to get a few which would take up a lot of room lol.

Anyway, with that above list, do you think the BGKF and the Bala Shark will be able to cope with the mass numbers of cichlids!? And also, do you think it's a bad idea getting 2 Texas Cichlids if I don't get 2 Oscars? Hmm, so many possibilities. :p
