1100 set up

24 pounds of smelt (silver sides) $85 bought at the local Asian market. I feed this tank about 1 pound a day, 5 days a week. This should last about a month.

A leak!
Been noticing a lot of moisture under the sump. It’s getting worse so I drained the sump today for an inspection.

I suspected the drain was leaking but instead it was a crack in the bottom. This happened before. You can see a patch job I’ve made it the past.

Thankfully I always have scrap plexiglass. I cut a corner off an ink puce I had laying around and used this adhesive

I know this is a fish forum but I would very very much like to know more about the model railroad.

I know this is a fish forum but I would very very much like to know more about the model railroad.

It’s a G scale set. They are known for gardens and outside use. The room in the front of the tank has a single track that goes around the room. The room behind the tank, with the sump I’m working on, has the track that switches into 4 through sidings. So I can have a total of 4 trains. When one train goes behind the tank another one comes out and does a loop around the fish room. The plan it to have the trains alternate directions coming from behind the tank.
