1140g outdoor tank design

Will be getting stuck into this just after tax time(in a couple of months)
Internal dimesions are 3m x 1.2m x 1.2 m , 1140 gallons.Need some room back in my house

i was going to go 12mm/ 1/2" thick.The glass will be down to a depth of 740mm or about 29" or should I go thicker as it will be outside and we all know what kids are cappable of.

I used 15mm for my glass front. its 2975 x 685mm.

id use way thicker then 15mm dude
15 if u went 2' tall atleast 19-25mm if u went 4' tall id go 25mm myself

The glass won't be to a depth of 4 ft.As I said earlier,the bottom of the glass will be down to a depth of 740mm , about 29" so it will have no more pressure on it than a 30" high tank.I would have thought 15mm would be plenty?

whatever thickness you use you could do with fitting a sheet of perspex in the front about 20mm away from glass that should protect agaist kids and there playing

i see where your coming from but id atleast use 19mm.
