For those that haven't seen them, I picked up 3 discus to add to the planted tank, and got rid of the tetras and rasboras. Two checkerboard pigeons and a ring leopard. Such graceful fish, enjoy!

Awesome pics Jose! The discus make the tank look so peaceful. I guess you got bored last night and started snappn away. Nice pics.

beautiful discus
but will they be able to compete against the denisonis for food, and the other thing i have noticed is, usually discus become peppered in planted tanks

wow!beautiful..your water is very crisp, makes the discus looks like their floating in thin air.

Thanks! You can blame the crispy water on the dual 25 micron filter socks :)

Thanks! Last night they just started getting interested in food again. I feed frozen brine shrimp which floats everywhere, so I think they should do ok. Those barbs are little pigs though!

As for peppering, yeah I read this is common with pigeon-based discus in planted tanks and/or dark backgrounds/substrates as they try to blend in with their surroundings. Unfortunately, isn't much I can do about it.
