Thanks for sharing your build. Came out real nice! Really like your stock.

I saw that you had some plants...are your Wide Bars leaving them alone?

Have you thought about getting some surface/top level swimmers like some Pinktail Chalceus or some Apollo Sharks? I think they would be the cherry on top!

Thanks. I appreciate that.

No dice on the Java fern, chewed down to a nub. I just picked up some large fake stuff at Hobby Lobby for 50% off. I think I paid $7 for some nice 4' long plastic stuff. Just have to figure out a way to anchor them.

I've thought about a bunch of different things for the top. I have a silver aro in another tank that I had earmarked for there but decided they just get too big. I also was thinking about Triport Hatchets but they stay more in the middle/top. I'm not familiar with Apollo Sharks. I just google imaged it and they look about perfect though. Do you have any experience with them?

How about just hot gluing or siliconing them to a small rock

Good call! I was going to get a masonary bit and drill through a rock but your idea is much easier. Haha
I actually like your manly method better lol

The Apollo sharks are a cool mid water schooling fish but will get eat by ur fish. The chalceus are a good option but will need time to grow as they are slow growing.

TUIC just got some dusky narrow hatchetfish which can be a better option. Will get beefy and school well.
