i bought a 12 gallon cube tank 14"x14"x14"x14", its cycled and i wanted to put 2 breeding pairs of ram cichlids with some tetras and i wanted to know what would be the best plants to use or the best way to set it up. Any ideas or pictures or a good planted tank would be great! thanks!

Wow - a 4 dimensional tank!?!! I bet your fish will love that extra dimension of swimming room.

lol - just giving you ****. :)

i have some black sand type subtrate with a coral life deluxe double strip. It has 2 18 watt lamps. And i have a penguin 100 filter

i'm not to sure yet i'm new to the planted set up so i wanted like some pieces of wood with some moss on it and some plants so yea i wanted a good amount of plants

you'll grow java moss and java fern no probs in you tank. you could do what i did when i first started my planted tank go and buy like three or for easy to grow plants from you lfs and see what grows thats how i did this tank!

thats a real nice tank! i went to the lfs and got some java moss, some anubias, grass and some maca or something like that. When i get my camera fixed i'll get picks

With that much light if the tank is not heavily planted, you may be in for a battle with algae. I would suggest some CO2 as well. I have a 10 gal with 36w of lighting, DIY Co2 and a DIY reactor. I have been maintaining this tank for about 19 weeks. I keep a log on it too and notice the changes it runs through. It is cool to watch the tank develope it's own eco-system. Anyway check it out.
