Even acidic fruit is fine to use. I use kiwi, mango, and apples occasionally. No problems ever from it.

In due time, you're expensive acrylic tank will be something you're embarrassed to show to company. Get that guy in a glass tank if you care about your acrylic.

has it happened before though??? or are you just assuming it will ??

does anyone have a pic of what the acrylic will look like???

No pics, but it isn't wise once they get bigger. Your royal is more than large enough to do major damage to the acrylic. Given enough time, the acrylic will become 'foggy' looking.
