yeah, they grow fast when fed properly (ie feed lots LOL)

tank still looks empty but once they are full grown its going to look really good.

not really sure. since I have set up the tank I have been browsing the LFS's for some nice severums or geos and no one has had any that have been good quality fish. most are beat up, ich covered, hole in the head ridden, or just too small to tell if they are going to be excellent specimens or not.

over the years I guess I have become a little too selective..lol

so we shall see.

in the mean time, these guys can grow and grow..

i think a yellow severum would look awesome with that light, back ground, and black gravel

(or any yellow/orange fish)

3 month growth comparison.

Redhooks probably only grown about 20-25%

barbs grown about 300%...

thats the problem I am running into.

the barbs get 95% of the food.. the redhooks are being out competed...
