its 48" long by 18"wide by 24" tall.

its actually not so much the height and width that is the problem - the fish turn around no problem.

its the length that is the issue.

together, they are 3 feet of fish in a 4 foot tank.

the 150 is 6 feet long and also taller - it will give them lots more room...

but it might be up to a year before I am in a position to get it..

as long as they don't grow anymore, they should be fine to hold out that long...

12 Volt Man are those monsters know to be skitish with sudden movements.

They are stunning looking barbs. Hope it all goes well with the bigger tank they do indeed deserve it

Here is an interesting shot, that shows just how much size adding some bodylength can do:

compare the 18 inch barb with the 12 inch normal tinfoil barb of the same bodyshape in the bottom 65.

an 18 inch fish is almost twice the overall size of a 12 inch fish, which is something a lot of people don't realize..

sure, you are only adding 6 inches of body length, but you are also adding 2 inches in thickness, 4 inches in hieght etc.

:)

Sweet barbs, the only ones ive seen in real life were about 3ft and well over a foot deep. Beautiful fish. They make the tank look small!
Love the sev too, Rotkeil?

lol don't startle those things they could bust the glass if they hit it hard enough.
