those discus are cool looking fish pity I can't keep them the water come out of my tap with a pH of about 7.6 and hard as a rock I can't even lower the pH at least not for long

Discus do fine with that PH!

for the most part discus are fine in higher ph water its just the ph swings that they dont like so when you introduce them into your tank you need to take it slow, and try not to do huge water changes that could cause a ph swing...

one question - i am looking to set up a similar tank, maybe a bit bigger, but was wondering what the lighting was on the tank. Do you dose CO2? Any fertilizers?
