120g in wall setup

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hello,

Had this tank up for a few years. Was salt, but switched to native. It is 120g, 4 foot long tank. Filtration is a wet/dry along with an algae scrubber setup in the back room with a 50g stock tank for a sump.

here are some pics of the inhabitants.
so far:
1-unidentified sunfish caught in local waters in PA
1-crayfish caught in local waters (same place as sunfish)
1-green sunfish bought from zimmermans
1-redfin pickerel (not shown it was hiding)
1-algae eater which is massive in size
1-goldfish. This fish was part of my cycle and he just lived and grew and grew and was never eaten (had a rockbass till it decided to jump out)

now for the pictures....

Please tell me where you caught that redbreast!

crayfish was sleeping with the fishes when i came home from work. Pickerel continues to eat worms but he is hard to feed as the sunfish are much more aggressive. The aggressive behavior is helping my pellet training as the sunfish are trying to eat before the other fish get the food. They are spitting it out mostly, but pick it back up on the bottom of the tank.

What are you trying to feed the pickerel?

so far it is worms. He is doing well, even starting to take them while the worm dangles in the tank hanging on from the top lid/screen. I'll pick up some minnows from a bait store eventually, but there isnt one close.

Good im glad he likes worms, safer than picking up feeder from a bait store is raising your own mosquitofish or guppies to feed them and raising scuds.
