120g Starting over!

go for salt water fowlr or a small reef T-5 ho lights would be perfect no heat and do amazing for growing corals
 
Salt is beautiful I'll admit but I think salt isn't a great option for me as if I ever (I will eventually) get deployed I'll have to have my fiance or my friend whome also keeps fish take care of the aquarium for 8-14 months while I'm off doing my thing.
 
Took a pic of the empty tank, water is a bit cloudy I think it has something to do with the bb dying. Anyway I'm guessing I'll have to remodel if I do decide to do cons. That's fine though I like projects =)

That looks fine for some cons. It is a nice setup. But you may want to add a few more caves in opposite corners and such.

I decided I am going to do the convicts if it doesnt work out I have enough empty 30~ gallon aquariums laying around for all the pairs. I just need to do some more rockwork and make sure the Java Fern is well secured before letting those little psychos in.

I'm not sure how I'm gonna introduce them though. I'm thinking perhaps introducing 10 1"~ convicts at once and letting them pair off as they mature will work out and move the remaing to unpaired to other aquariums.
 
Having a tank filled wtih convicts is right up my alley because that's exactly what I used to have.
I eventually got rid of the males and had a tank of female convicts because I couldn't find enough homes for the babies. Umm...that was before my parents' involvment which I won't go into detail here because it's basically a long rant.

Was considering a solitary Clown Knife or a Clown Knife and a Polypterus Endlicheri. Maybe a single Black Arowana? a Mbu would be cool but I think my aquarium is a bit small for one..

Ideas? Comments? Suggestions?

If I had to choose from your list of thoughts for a showpiece(solitary), I will choose the Black Arowana...

Man that sucks. Some nice longear sunfish would be great.
