True red terrors can also be bullies sometimes. But like stated, make sure it's a true one if that's the route you go and not a Mayan.
You're better off not even mentioning the term " True Red Terrors" when considering Festae. Ask for "Festae" from a reputable distributor or breeder and you will more than likely get what you want. Asking for True Red Terrors will give you less of a chance of getting a Festae. Some people consider Mayans the true red terrors especially breeders here in Florida. Honestly, with your stock i would advise against a Festae. They are a lot more aggressive than anything you have or plan on getting.

yeah your new stocking option sounds good and yeah now you wont have to worry about the severum getting beat up on, it is very rare to find an aggressive that severum that is on the other guys level of aggression, your new stocking plan should have a lot better chance of working out long term

oh and make sure to observe the GT you get very closely as they can be prone to bacterial and parasitic infections you want to be sure he is healthy and eating well

Alright I'd like to thank everyone that has helped me. When i get the new tank rdy and all the fish are in and have grown a bit, ill try to post some pics. Exactly how do you post pics here? I've heard something called photo bucket but I'm not entirely sure. Also about the green terror, should i ask the manger at my lfs to pick out the biggest and most active GT out of the bunch. Also should i ask them to feed the ot make sure they're healthy?

yeah np that is what we are all here for, and i wouldnt really trust the manager, just watch them for a while and make sure its being really active and showing lots of nice color (and has design with its fins and iridescent body scales since im assuming you will want an all male tank to avoid breeding issues and get the most color specimens) and try and see if he poos and see if it is normal or white/stringy, and yeah you can ask them to feed them if they will do it but if not then just get the one you think is the most healthy looking and keep a close eye on it and treat your tank for parasites at the first sign of white/stringy poo (this is why its good to have a small tank set up for quarantining new fish, especially ones that you know are prone to diseases and then if they are sick it is cheaper to treat as well)

Your right. I do have a 10g beside me bed for QT fish. I keep them in there for a few weeks until im certain their rdy for the main tank. The tank runs on gravel and water from the main tnak. And the filter is seeded with bacteria from the other tank as well. As you said sarah i am indeed looking into an all male tank. I thought that any females would create WW3 in my tank. Anyway thanks again for the great and useful information.
