I'm starting to lean more to the haps and peacocks right now. Seeing as though they are carnivores, they do not require the same diet that the mbuna would. I think the only mbuna I would have in the tank would be some labs. That way when they spawn the haps would have some natural prey. Any good website with a lot of info on haps and peacocks?

Ok heres the stocking on my 2 125g african tanks
18 demasoni - hard to find a more vivid blue in a fish
16 yellow labs the yellow is an awesome contrast to the blue
lab hongi super red top 1 male 4 females the male is hot!females not so much
labeotropheus trewvase Mpanga red 1 male 3 females very different looking fish

That is an awesome tank stunning!

the other is a peacock hap tank young fish not yet fully mature
6 crytocara morei "blue dolphin"
2m 4 f aulonocara stuartgrantii "nkete" ill need to sell the extra male soon
10 red empress, just starting to color up will sell extra males from this group too.

Now see that stocking list makes my American cichlid mind cringe. Is that tank not overcrowded? I want something that will work for the long run. Now I understand some fish may become a problem and need to be moved but for the most part I like well planned out set ups. On a side note though, imagining that amount of fish absolutely makes me all giddy.

For color alone, a male Hap/Peacock tank is AWESOME. As you've heard these fish are a little more mellow than the Mbuna. Keep researching and I'm sure you'll find a couple:naughty: of fish for your tank.
