Too much flow… Yes, Too much filtration, well… It’s a luxury.

I've got a 75g set up to a 30g sump. I think the pump is 1290 at 1 ft and 990 at 4 feet. I've got about 3 feet. Is that too much?

what kind of maintenance do you have on all of that? great setup by the way.

nothing yet, It was just given to me by a parent. It's a 75g tank with a totally empty 30g. I've got a CPS siphon, a pump and a couple of jet heads. There's a spot for a sock at the end of the siphon where it goes into the 30.

I'm in the research phase of trying to figure out how much bio has to be in the sump.

If your fish are pinned to the glass, then you have too much flow.

Change the padding every two or three weeks. Very easy and quick.

If you want to, you can do it while it is running.
