Would one ehiem classic 2217 be enough for a 125 gallon tank? I have 2 on the 125 at the moment, but I want to use one of them for another tank.

One is not enough unless you have a few 2 inches max size fishes, even 2 it's still not enough if you have bigger fish or heavy stocked.

I have (2) Angelfish, (6) Myleus sp . greens a few cardinal tetras, a few cory's (4) siamese algae eater and (6)hillstream loach

I had 2 2217's on my 125, and it wasn't enough. I ended up buying a 2262. A 2217 is MAYBE enough for a 75 gallon, depending on stock. I think a 75 needs a little more than 1 2217, and a 125 needs a good bit more than 2 2217's.

I have one on my 40 gal. Can't think it'd up for a125 all by itself...

I had two 125g tanks running the same setup which consisted of both with running (2) 2217 on each side and a single AC110 in the middle. That performed OK. I think running just one will be abysmal.
