125 gallon and ehiem 2217

if you were to run 1 2217 on each tank , you may be able to add a BIG sponge filter to each , plus a powerhead to each tank & be ok ....a big sponge filter runs $10-15 , a good powerhead $50...or you might try splitting up the canisters and adding an ac 110 to each tank...that should do it , providing that you will do large weekly w/c's to keep debris from building up....you may have to increase filtration later (as stock grows)
