Just go to the closest river and swim around or just walk around the shore and find your own driftwood. I find my own in the same place the fish come from. Or if there's any wood in the pond where the fish are in then that would be better. I had some smallmouth for awhile until one beat the other to the PONR then he turned his attention on my sunfish so he had to go. I imagine with one temporary bass and sunfish there wouldn't be a lot problems if any. You could keep the sunfish long term and switch out bass as they get too big or aggressive

Yeah that's a great idea I'll do that but also I found a fish hatchery with jumbo large bass babies for 2 bucks a piece and pumpkins ed sunnys for like a dollar a piece so I might do that, seems like a great deal and a lot easier than catching them and they will be used to me so they won't break everything in the tank when they get some size

Wild fish will get used to you it just takes a little time, all mine were wild caught and now they'll eat out of my hand

The best I could was make my Bala less shy. When I walk up to the tank or put my hand on the glass it doesn't dart away.
