Oh I was thinking of the blood spot on the larger male. Not sure about that spot on the female, assumed it was an injury or something. What could it be, will get a clear pic when I get home?
It could be a number of things, and not to jump the gun here, but it could possibly be lymphocystis, which has also been documented in the wild with citrinellum.
Alright now that I am home will get a better pic of her when she calms down, turned the lights on and they freaked. Looking at her though I don't think its that but I don't have any experience with it, kinda looks more like its from an injury or something.
Can't really tell from the photos. Just keep an eye on it. If it gets larger or you start seeing it on other fins or other fish, then you've got an issue. Is it flush with the fin or does it protrude a bit?
Pull her out of the water and its not a solid white, its more a translucent bubble. The area around the bubble is cloudy but not raised which is mostly what you are seeing from the pic.
The smaller male isn't as photogenic as the larger one so no pic of him this time. More than likely gonna keep the larger male. Might take the Argentea to a local store soon unless any local MFKers wants him no charge.
