That is awesome, I would sit in front of that tank all day and just admire it......great work :)

Thanks. Thats exactly what we do. Every night after the kids go to bed, the wife and I have a seat, watch the tank and discuss our day. Most relaxing hobby ever. That is of course is when your not maintaining it the other 3 hours a night. haha I cant stop f**kin' with it.

I think that was the quickest builds I have ever seen. Great job.

Took about a week. A little over a day to build and the rest was sanding, staining and polying.

Great looking craftsmanship. I've been wanting that pocket jig for a while now....lol

I've got the same miter saw as yours. I love it, especially since you can cut 14" with it. I use a lot of rough cut Amish hemlock and larch and that Dewalt makes short work of it, especially cutting true 4x4's.

That stands looks great, excellent craftsmanship. Looking forward to the finished product. :)

Great job. Very nice!

Thanks. As far as the Kreg pocket screw kit. Grab the Jr. kit. It's $30 versus the master kit which is $100-150. I had the master and ended up bringing it back. The master kit is more for bench work. The Jr. you can use just about anywhere. I just used it today on a customers house to stop a squeaky staircase. It made quick work of it and more importantly made me quick money.

The Dewalt MS... Its not bad. I feel the quality is not there like it used to be. This was the first time I used it for stain grade materials and probably the last. It's a good paint grade saw. I have a hitachi that I use for for fine carpentry. The accuracy between the two is apples and oranges. The Hitachi blows the ''DeFault'' out of the water. I more or less bought the DeFault because of the size stock its capable of cutting. Also the crown stop feature I love being I install miles of crown annually.

Hemlock huh? I love working with other woods. Southern yellow pine, red/white oak, cedar, redwood and poplar is mainly what I work with. Brazilian Cherry.... mmmm.... I love the way that stuff smells when you cut it. Larch I've never worked with. How is that stuff? It appears to be a very sappy material. Does it sand and take stain well?

That is amazing, and i thought i was the only one who doesnt overbuild their stands. It looks great.

Thank you. Not really overbuilt. I am a believer of no more then whats needed though. Some of the stands I see with 800 2x4's under them is quite entertaining!!

I was just looking at your threads... Nice stands!! Very simple, clean and straight to the point. Thats what I was after as well. That one stand with what looks like 4x4 feet I like the best.

I was just checking out the double stand!! I LIKE THAT! You have just given me some inspiration and a great idea. I have (2) 55'ss sittin dry here that I'm lacking space for and that double stand is the ticket!
