125 gallon tank weight too heavy?

I had a thread similar to this about my 220. My floor held up just fine. Just put it perpendicular to the floor joists and on a load bearing wall and you should be fine. I think I am gonna eventually put jackstands in eventually though.

Hmmm, i was looking under my house today and the way i was going to put it actually runs the same way that the floor joist run, but if i movved it over a little it would be right over an 4x12 solid beam that runs the length of the house. This solid 4x12 beam would be perpendicular to my tank. And directly under that 4x12 beam is a pylon so i think its quite strong. Im still kinda nervous about it though.

when in doubt.. check it out. see how much it would cost to have a professional come out and take a look, or find out how much the houses floor is designed to hold. generally a 125 shouldn't be to much weight when the stand is evenly distributeing the weight. we live in a fairly older appartment and have a few saggy floors in areas.. but don't have any issues with our 75.
