Very nice fish, how does the snook get along with everybody? Is he pretty laid back, and peacefull?

He is laid back, gives no trouble whatsoever. The Comp thou, he is the tank new fish investigator. He was showing whose boss to the Black Belt last night, after an hour the BB put a stop to that. Now everything is back in harmony. :)

Picked up a nice male Texan today

First off, those are some nice fish
About your question on the filtration, most everyone here uses the fluval fx-5, probably two of those on the 400 and then you could also do a diy wetdry, thats the typical set-up here. Most people go for an 8+ turnover rate

Speaking of that, I was talking to the guy I'm getting the tank from, its actually a 450, even better. I asked about the filtration and he said to use the wet/dry. I'll prolly get some canisters as well. All he has to do now is make the stand and I'm good to go. 450 Acrylic tank for $900, stand for $200, not a bad deal.

I live in northern kentucky and all i know of up here is world of pets, jacks aquarium, petsmart, and walmart.

You gotta drive over the creek, Ohio has some better selections. If I tell you my spot, you might get my fish ;)
