125 Senegal tank

Well I'm scratching the idea of the 125 gar tank. Sorry to all gar fans but my 2 Florida gars are rather boring. They do nothing for me at all.Crazy I know but it's true.

Just to clarify the tank is murky because I didn't wash the Flourite too well, it's okay though the two Emp's 400 will clear it up.

I'm making the middle densely planted with silk plants. My 29 which has a senegal loves this side compared to the other side which has nothing really. So the middle will be densely planted and to the right I want to give them something to do. I little maze if you will. I am going to silicone all diff sizes of PVC tubes and what not together so that's it like a foot across and 20 inches high, just a total weird maze for them to twist through, and so they can hide from each other. I think they will really like to explore it. It will be spray painted black. To the left of the tank it will just be bare so they can just chill or whatever. I need to get rid of these gar though, so if you live in Ohio come and get them. I'll throw in some gar pics so people can see them, the little one is barely eating though, don't know if he'll last too much longer.

Senegal and friends in the 29. Also the plants up front are from Joan fabrics and with some good ole plant weights attached.

Looks like a cool set-up! It makes me laugh when I see your sen and ACF hanging out, Mine gets a couple every month for a treat! lol I've never seen them that big though, looking nice.

I have two females in the 29(one is still a juvie though) and they can easily get 6 in. with feet spread out. They bred also, so the senegal will be getting little tadpoles snack soon.

I was told when I got them 14 and 12 in. I could try and measure( I doubt they grew any) them. I live in Marysville, 43040 is the zip.

Thanks guys I am going to love this setup. Oh yeah, and I want 6 regular and 6 albino senegals, should look sharp!!

I've hear 24 inches but personally I've never seen one past 20, but no it won't work for life.

Here's proof that I'm not a slacker on water changes, and it was just because of the flourite being dirty, lol. I'm making the little fun maze for them next week when i get paid again, so for now I shall show you some more pics of the gars since their still in the Senegal tank, their FREE to anyone in Ohio pretty much!

The pleco and Raphael lives in here, I'm not sure what I will do with them after the Senegals get in here.

This is the bigger one, he really likes to play with the bubbles, always swimming his head and body around it.
